When buying a gas grill, what is the cooking surface for better and why?

I would buy a new grill gas, but it is unclear to me if I go with a model that has a surface of stainless steel, cast iron, or porcelain – which is the best, and why?

I've always been partial to porcelain grates me, just because it keeps its shape well, heats evenly and is easy to clean. Stainless steel tends to deform easily (experience), and cast iron is difficult to keep clean and will not rust. But if you often use the grill and oil it is probably cast iron the way forward. I have an aunt who never change their cast iron grill, and is connected to a natural gas feed. Think you have had the thing 15 to 20 years! Regarding cooking surfaces, the three will give nice grill marks, but cast iron and porcelain tends to retain heat better, especially if you leave the lid open.
